Welcome to FoBFS

The Friends of Bristol Free School (FoBFS) is a charitable organisation, consisting of a group of active parents, carers and teachers who fund raise on behalf of the school, typically by supporting school and social events. Our core aim is to raise money to be spent on equipment and experiences for students across all year groups, which cannot be easily funded through the school budget.

October 2019

• Held FobFS annual AGM meeting
• We raised over £5,600 for 2019/20 funds
• We used the 2018/19 funds for:
  • Year 7 courtyard improvements
  • Heat press and sublimation printer for DT department
  • Recording studio speakers for the music department
  • Science week funding
  • Yoga club equipment
  • Venue hire for the school drama production

FoBFS became a registered charity (registration number 1184355).

The Aims of FoBFS (PTA Constitution):

To help build the school community and advance the education of pupils in the school, in particular by:

• Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school
• Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Interested? Then read on…

The easiest way to help is to attend school and social events and bring along family and friends! Our big event of the year is the summer BBQ but we also support school music, drama and sports events as well as holding social events such as quiz nights.

You can also assist by volunteering at events. Even if you only have an hour or so to spare this can really help. There’s always someone involved who knows what to do and can show you the ropes. Free and Easy Fundraising
