| During this thematic study students will examine the developments in medicine in Britain from c1250 to the present day. This unit makes up 30% of the Edexcel GCSE course and is examined in Paper 1. Students will track improvements in medical treatment, improvements in understanding the causes of disease, changes in the treatment of illness and infection and the role of key individuals in pioneering changes in medicine. Students will complete a case study on the developments of medicine on the Western Front. |
