Term 3War Horse

Term 1Drama techniques   
Students will learn how to use a variety of basic drama techniques to communicate meaning to an audience. They will work in groups to rehearse and perform their work and learn how to give constructive feedback.

Term 2Pantomime   
Students will practically explore the genre of Pantomime. They will explore typical conventions including audience interaction and narration and work towards a performance to a primary school audience.

Term 5Exploration of form and style   
Students will explore three styles of theatre: Physical Theatre, Mime and Greek theatre. They will develop the physical skill, control and precision of movement within a drama performance.

Term 6Playwriting   
Students will learn how to devise a one act play. They will gain an understanding of how to structure a narrative, create interesting characters and engage an audience.
